The 2 Minute Rule

Habits are a fundamental part if you are looking to get the best version of yourself.

The 2 minute rule is an excellent tool that you can use to help you start a new habit or pick up a habit that you have forgotten for a while.
It basically consists of creating a small version of the habit you want to create.
For example, if you would like to get into the habit of running 30 minutes a day.
If you decide to start the habit... and the first day you do the 30 minutes, for sure you will do it, because you have all the motivation in your favor as it is a new habit.
But the situation changes after a few days, and that's where it gets interesting, because the initial motivation you had, tends to get lost and because normally your brain processes those 30 minutes as a heavy task after a few days.
The idea is to make your brain believe that you will only do 2 minutes each day. With this simple but effective trick, your brain doesn't make excuses, and the important thing with habits is to THINK!
So you start the first few days with a small version of this new habit in your life for example, you could very well start by at least putting on your sneakers and going for a short 5-10 minute walk at a specific time each day.
After a few days, you will see that your brain will question why not continue? more than 5 minutes and of course you can do it, and continue to increase the time and enjoy the new routine.
According to the experts it takes at least 21 days to program a habit in your brain and it doesn't matter how much of that habit you do, the fundamental thing is to START.
Eventually, by following this method you can pick up the habits you need to achieve the best version of yourself.
Well, so there you have it,
The 2 minute rule, Use it.
