In this post I will relate the last time I was scammed in Crypto.

It was about 1 year. I decided to invest the capital that I had available

Approx. USD 600. I decided to start investing in DeFi,
I set up my Metamask Wallet to work with Polygon, Fantom as well as Binance Smart Chain.
It was very exciting to discover the DeFi system and the different options available,
I discovered the AAVE Platform to make loans on DeFi,
In those days Terra - Luna Algorithmic Currency was on everyone's lips, which among other options gave you a fixed income of approx. 19.5% when you made your deposits in Terra-LUNA. I put some capital there, about USD 60, I never put much capital there. I did not put more capital there, because I did not want to, the platform looked very reliable and most experts in the field talked about how efficient and profitable Terra was.
 I did not put more capital there because I did not have more capital available.
(Now I say, fortunately .... CONSIDERING how Terra-LUNA ended up!).  


Well, everything was fine, I felt confident,
Until one day,
I saw a video on YouTube of a YouTuber advertising an investment platform.
I think it was called MATICFomo, and there were several options to deposit Matic, in theory, you would leave it deposited for a period of time, and then you would withdraw the profits. Periods could be 15 days, or 30 days and they offered you high profitability attractive enough, although I do not remember exactly how much, but the point that I decided to enter and invest what I had cost me to gather and accumulate,
I withdrew the capital I had in Terra to invest in this Matic Fomo and two similar platforms I found in those days, one of them in Fantom.
So... I invested all the capital approx USD 600 in 3 different platforms.

After about 2 weeks or less,
the platforms no longer let me withdraw the profits and were literally empty, all the capital was gone, literally. Wow!



And I was like, what's going on here? how is it possible?
I started to investigate more and I came to the sad Reality.
I had been yet another victim of a Crypto scam.

The moral of the story is that I learned several lessons, one of them is that now I know how to detect these kinds of platforms with PONZI schemes and I avoid them at all costs.
I continue to invest in Crypto, because I believe that they are an alternative with a lot of potential for development in which you can invest, I think it will change the way many things are done so far and I think there is a long way ahead.
For all that I still believe in Crypto, but now I have invested and bought my Ledger nano S. I have learned the lesson, They are not your keys, they are not your Coins.
I have entered the market now that BTC has been at historic lows, but my strategy is to loiter, let my BTC sit quietly for at least 2 or 3 years ... and then Take some profit if possible.
Well if you have made it this far my basic recommendations for investing in Crypto would be:

- Educate yourself, study and understand what you are doing before investing any capital, Never invest capital you are not willing to lose.
- Diversify, don't put everything in Crypto, You can Invest in the Stock Market ( Ex. VOO ) or another alternative the key point is to Diversify, "Don't put all your eggs in one basket"
- Buy a Cold Wallet ( Ledger or Trazor ) and keep your main Capital in it.
